Sameer is a Director in Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare (IGH) practice at KPMG and is currently advising the Government of India on Smart Cities and Swachh Bharat Mission. He has over 16 years international experience in government advisory, large program delivery for global customers in Government, Telecom, Finance sectors, with specialization in business process modelling, analytics, policy formulation, capacity building, strategic management of ICT, managed service delivery and organization design. In his current role, Sameer specializes in urban governance in India & Asia-Pacific and focuses on National Missions in India covering Swachh Bharat, AMRUT, Smart Cities, Make in India, Digital India, HRIDAY, PRASAD, etc. with engagement experience in water & sanitation, education, cities, policy formulation, financial due-diligence, program management and capacity building.

 

In his engagements, Sameer has worked with, Central Ministries, such as, Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Ministry of Tourism (MoT), States Governments in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Agencies such as, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), National Informatics Centre (NIC), etc.

Prior to KPMG, Sameer has performed leadership roles in Ericsson and TCS and has spent over 8 years in US, China in various roles in business development, project management, sales and IT operations.

 

He is a 2013 recipient of “Next 100 CIO” Award, recognizing India’s Top 100 professionals with potential to take on CIO role in near future. He has also been Awarded IIM Ahmedabad Dean’s List (for Top 5 students across Institute).
